This is a new POOL-STYLE tournament. Under the Pool-Style format:

-The prize "pool" grows as additional players enter
-The "payout" schedule is determined by the final number of entries participating
-Essentially unlimited prize pools, higher prize upside
-Rare cancellations - tournaments almost always run

This is an EXACTA BOX Format contest. Players will choose three horses per race, with a mythical 3-horse Exacta Box played. Players will earn the $1 Exacta mutuel payout for any correct selections.

Please note a few important points about the Exacta Box tourney format:

(1) Players must select three horses per race. A mythical 3-horse exacta box is played.

(2) Players MAY select an alternate for each of their three horse selections. However, selecting alternates is only optional and not required. Like normal tourneys, the PTF will replace a scratched horse if no alternate has been selected. An alternate is only applied in the event of a scratch of the corresponding primary pick.

(3) Scoring is based on the $1 Exacta Mutuel payout.

(4) If the field size or other circumstances results in no Exacta wagering, no score will be used for that race. Similar to race cancellations, at least 70 percent of the tourney races must be scored to constitute an official contest.

(5) There are NO TIEBREAKERS in the Exacta Box Format. Ties in any paying positions will receive an equal share of the designated prizes.

Note the minimum number of entries required to run this contest. Contest minimums must be strictly adhered to. Maximum entries may NOT be expanded in this event.
